GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 750389
org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power interactive – the Power Off popup lags to appear
Last modified: 2019-03-20 11:26:59 UTC
I have org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power set to interactive. Whenever I press power button of my laptop, the Power Off popup window appears after a random amount of time (clicking Power button in top-right menu show it instantly): usually after 10-15 seconds the first time it's pressed, and then 2-3 seconds if it's been pressed again. Bug is present since 3.6, I think.
You have what set to interactive? You just gave the schema name, not the key name. Are you sure you're not setting one of the deprecated keys?
Sorry, the key name 'button-power'. Well, I don't really know if it's deprecated. All in all, it works, it's just the delay is very annoying.
Does calling: gdbus call --session --dest org.gnome.SessionManager --object-path /org/gnome/SessionManager --method org.gnome.SessionManager.Shutdown on the command-line show the same problem?
No, calling this command shows the pop-up dialog instantly, as it should be.
