GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 747563
The GUI is not keyboard navigable
Last modified: 2018-01-11 09:47:33 UTC
I expect to be able to use Tab, Ctr+Tab and arrows keys to move in the GUI, following GNOME guidelines https://help.gnome.org/users/gnome-help/stable/keyboard-nav.html.en
Can you be more specific about which widgets this is not working with?
This commit fixes ctrl+tab when in the search box, which was previously getting captured. Tab and down arrow continues to select the search results (if they are visible). https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-builder/commit/?id=4710937fb7bb7ba8e47cf41a735b404631ba71d5
I want to be able to use builder without using the mouse at all. The first problem is that I can't move the focus to the "hamburger" icon. Only the search box seems accessible so far in this bar. The menu in the "hamburger" icon is accessible using the keyboard. The second bar is neither accessible using the keyboard. In the good side, I can switch the focus from the editor area to the search box using Ctrl+Tab.
The trend for hamburger menus in other apps seems to be binding it to F10.
To keep this bug from being too vague, I'd like to get a list of all the things that need fixing, so that I know when we've appropriately completed it. I'm happy to do all the fixes necessary.
OK, my whishlist here: * Go from editor to documentation search * Go from editor to the terminal down * When showing/hiding the terminal (with <ctr>F9) the focus should change (from/to it)
Also it would be nice to be able to resize current 'view' (terminal, splitted window etc..) with key bindings.

Hi, are you working on this issue? I would like to implement this if you are not working :)
Nope
