GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 743608
Extend functionality to a complete password manager
Last modified: 2018-08-03 19:46:01 UTC
I think it would be great to extend the functionality of seahorse to be password manager suitable for all kinds of passwords. Most notably Website logins: store website url, username, e-mail and so on. Hopefully also with support of the browser. Much like 1password for Mac OS. There are already programs that try to provide such a functionality: Revelation, Gringotts or Figaro but they don't seem to be further developed (use gtk 2 and are not well integrated into the gnome environment).
Yes. that's a good plan. Are you going to be working on this? Bugzilla is a good place for tracking work. If you would like to discuss ideas, then the seahorse-list@lists.gnome.org mailing list is a better place.
