GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 742731
housekeeping-plugin dislikes systemd private namespace directories: Failed to enumerate children of /var/tmp/systemd-...
Last modified: 2019-03-20 11:25:26 UTC
With housekeeping-plugin enabled I often get lets of these warnings in syslog: gnome-session[2173]: (gnome-settings-daemon:2266): housekeeping-plugin-WARNING **: Failed to enumerate children of /var/tmp/systemd-private-80cdc19ff585439e875829bf938b78c1-colord.service-WVom: Access denied Those directories cannot be cleaned up since they are owned by root (and housekeeping-plugin is not run as root). See downstream bug in Fedora: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=988632 In my case the affected directories are: /tmp/systemd-private-* /var/tmp/systemd-private-* (rtkit-daemon.service, colord.service, cups.service) /var/tmp/kdecache-root /var/tmp/yub-abrt-* /var/tmp/abrt/* and some entries in trash://
Still present in 3.16.
