Description Rob Means 2014-12-17 21:11:39 UTC
For years, I have printed PDF files using evince. Recently, files appeared to print from the computer side (system printer status = Processing), but nothing happened on the printer side of the cable. After confirming that other software (OfficeLibre and gimp) prints fine, I tried to print a PS file using evince - which acted the same way (looks normal, but no printer activity). I found a workaround by opening and printing the file using LibreOffice Draw (which works on simple PDF files, but not the ones PG&E creates for billing purposes).

The device URI is
hp:/usb/HP_LaserJet_1018?serial=KP0KZ5R
Make and Model is
HP LaserJet 1018 Foomatic/foo2zjs-z1 (recommended)

Thanks in advance for any time you spend helping me resolved this. - Rob
