Description Laurent Bigonville 2014-10-04 10:04:09 UTC
Hello,

When using the wayland gnome-shell, empathy is using xwayland.

When hovering the cursor over a contact in the contact list, the popup is not properly positioned, in a lot of cases it appears at (0,0) instead of its usual "just under the cursor" position

Epiphany Wayland wrong position menu

I guess GTK+ on Wayland has still some issues regarding positioning of popups and menus.
Here's an example of the main menu in Epiphany which has random positioning.
I'm using gtk3 git from today, 27th october 2014.

Epiphany log Wayland random positioning popups

Here is a log file running Epiphany:
- Starting with line 11, right-click on a link, context menu has the correct position.
- At line 18, right-click on a browser tab, context menu has random position
- After that, clicking on the main menu of Epiphany which also has random positioning. No warning or error in the log file.
