Description Michael Catanzaro 2014-08-22 13:31:06 UTC
When I set an IRC chatroom to "notify for all messages" it seems almost random whether that setting is remembered the next time I open the room. Once I get lucky enough for the setting to stick to a particular room, it usually sticks, but it can also magically disappear....

I have the same problem here (empathy 3.8.6-0ubuntu9.1). It seems that the "notify for all messages" flag is not persisted when empathy is not shut down manually, but during system shutdown.

I got the flag to persist by manually closing empathy. But that made it go crazy on next startup when it loaded the backlog of the rooms, triggering a notification for every single message. Though that is a separate bug, I guess.

Same here except empathy seems to not remember also when I close it manually.

Same goes for the show contact list setting.

I use 3.12.10
