Description Eugenio 2014-06-20 08:28:17 UTC
There is a strange behavior of gnome shell (version 3.12) on my laptop:
if I plug the battery while the laptop is connected to the ac adapter then a charging battery icon appears on the top bar.
But when I unplug the battery this battery icon does not disappear.
Even logging out and logging in does not fix that problem, I have to restart the laptop.
In my opinion the battery icon should disappear, or is a intended behavior??
The settings (and acpi) correctly report that battery in not present.

What's the output of "upower -d" when the problem happens?
Comment 2 Eugenio 2014-11-11 11:03:40 UTC
Thanks for the reply.
I made some test and I think that this is an upower bug..
The /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/DisplayDevice reports a wrong state after plugging and unplugging the battery.

Great, we'll look into it there.
