Description Timur Kristóf 2014-03-03 12:07:01 UTC
Allow the user to click on an album art or album name in the artists view. This action should take them to the same view as if they'd clicked on the album in the albums view.
Comment 1 Vadim Rutkovsky 2014-03-03 12:12:02 UTC
Allan, does this enhancement matches the design?

I'm not sure how should Back button on Album view behave then - go back to artist view, right?
Comment 2 Timur Kristóf 2014-03-03 12:20:36 UTC
Yes, that seems logical.

...

It's not something we designed for, but it makes sense.
Comment 4 Allan Day 2016-01-06 13:11:37 UTC
Bulk removing the 3.18 target.
Comment 5 Allan Day 2016-01-06 13:16:34 UTC
Removing the available whiteboard - we're not really using it any more.

Patch to allow clicking on album

Hello!
I want to work on this patch. Is anybody already working on it? Or this bug has been solved?
Please let me know.
Comment 8 Marinus Schraal 2017-02-18 10:30:15 UTC
Nobody is working on it, the patch needs rebasing.

I personally don't see much added value, but if the patch isn't too intrusive and works seamlessly I would consider it.
Comment 9 Rashi Sah 2017-02-18 10:40:22 UTC
Okay thank you!
I need to work more on gnome-music bugs. Can you please let me know more about good newcomer bugs I can work on properly?

Can you edit/review the patch so that its status reflects this?

Currently when one wants to play a specific album, they have to find it in the album view amongst the whole library. Artist view would allow them to filter and find the album quicker. This also helps with "I want to play that album from this artist, but can’t remember the title and I'm getting lost in this sea of albums".
