Description Asif Ali Rizvan 2014-02-26 12:18:19 UTC
fortunately, the shortcut ctrl+o still works with gnome-vidoes to quickly open video files. Any plans to remove this shortcut too?

Open... is a needed menu entry. Videos are not necessarily put in ~/Videos.

Please keep "Open..." at least in gears menu.

manually Adding video files to totem's playlist is not necessarily a user friendly approach.

instead opening a file should automatically be added to the recent playlist of videos.

thanks.

Add Local video, should start playing the video, who would like to add a video to totem's recent playlist, if not for viewing it right away?

And "Recent" playlist is not appropriate place to add user added videos!

I think you're right when someone adds a single video. If you add multiple videos it would be good to show them in the grid so you can choose which one to play.

Recent largely refers to the order, but yes, point taken. :)
