The display of images could be a bit nicer.
Comment 1 William Jon McCann 2013-12-15 21:05:33 UTC
I think centering the image with a texture background would be nicer.
Comment 2 Michael Catanzaro 2018-03-25 17:44:28 UTC
This is a mass NEEDINFO of all Epiphany bugs with no activity in the past three years. I'm going to be automatically closing old bugs to help us focus on current problems. If you feel this bug is still relevant with Epiphany 3.26 or newer, then please leave any comment here so that I know not to close this one.
Comment 3 Bastien Nocera 2018-03-28 12:19:25 UTC
This is still relevant.
Comment 4 nikolaibitinit 2018-04-02 20:40:34 UTC
Still relevant to me.

Some images, for example, here: https://github.com/fr0xk/Desklet/blob/master/README.md renders very poorly compared to other browsers, say Firefox (Notice the quality of the image on different browsers which is under "bash with "Git" support section")

Changing WebKit's image decoders is way outside the scope of this bug... the goal here is to make the page we show when directly loading an image file -- e.g. https://raw.githubusercontent.com/fr0xk/Desklet/master/images/git_bash.png -- prettier:

Yes, pointing out directly to that image with a mouse click makes things prettier, but I wonder how other browsers handle this rendering issue. Seems nice topic to research for me!
