GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 718904
[norepro] Merging Events Creates More Events
Last modified: 2021-05-19 13:41:13 UTC
---- Reported by shotwell-maint@gnome.bugs 2013-04-07 22:49:00 -0700 ---- Original Redmine bug id: 6775 Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/6775 Searchable id: yorba-bug-6775 Original author: Cary Hartline Original description: Every time I merge two events, Shotwell splits other events to make more events with the same name. When I merge two events that have a lot of photos; even more events are split into two! I merged two events that both had about 100 photos and now every other event from the past two years has been split into two events with the same name. For example, merging February 4, 2008 and February 4, 2008 will split February 1, 2008 into February 1, 2008 and February 1, 2008. I simply cannot use this program until the problem is fixed. p.s - I am using Ubuntu 13.04 daily ---- Additional Comments From shotwell-maint@gnome.bugs 2013-04-11 11:26:00 -0700 ---- ### History #### #1 Updated by Lucas Beeler 8 months ago * **Priority** changed from _Urgent_ to _High_ #### #2 Updated by Clinton Rogers 8 months ago * **Category** set to _events_ * **Status** changed from _Open_ to _Need Information_ Hi and thank you for taking time to report this. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be reproducible for us here (although exploration did lead to us finding a possible source of confusion with event splitting and merging when a search filter was active). May we know: * Approximately how many images are in your library * Approximately how many photos are in the events being worked on #### #3 Updated by Clinton Rogers 7 months ago * **Subject** changed from _Merging Events Creates More Events_ to _[norepro] Merging Events Creates More Events_ --- Bug imported by chaz@yorba.org 2013-11-25 21:59 UTC --- This bug was previously known as _bug_ 6775 at http://redmine.yorba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6775 Unknown version " in product shotwell.
