GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 717802
Add support for JPEG2000 (jp2) files
Last modified: 2020-12-19 20:51:27 UTC
---- Reported by eric@yorba.org 2011-06-20 12:43:00 -0700 ---- Original Redmine bug id: 3764 Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/3764 Searchable id: yorba-bug-3764 Original author: Eric Gregory Original description: Shotwell currently cannot import JPEG2000 format files. The JP2 format is not recognized as an image, and even when it's renamed to .%(=caps)JPG% the file cannot be imported. This was requested on Launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/source/shotwell/bug/799431 Although the format isn't particularly popular, it should be added for the sake of completeness. And according to Wikipedia it's supported by Gtk. If that's true it should be simple for us to add support.
