Our favorite email is biting me again. This time, the stray newline character
is showing up in the reply subject. See attached screenshot.

Alas, this is not fixed by the proposed patch to #713060, but I suspect it could easily be attacked now that we have a grasp on the problem.

I still can reproduce this. Try pasting these two lines in the subject and you'll see:

hello world,
linebreak
