GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 709199
Automatically add x-scheme-handler/mailto for supported web mail
Last modified: 2018-08-03 20:06:26 UTC
Created attachment 256197 [details] screenshot Newer versions of zimbra apparently allow Firefox to set itself as a mailto handler. See the attached screenshot for what it looks like in Firefox. I have no idea how it does it, but I'm guessing that there is some additional metadata being advertised by the website. So when creating a webapp from the site, it should add a MimeType=x-scheme-handler/mailto to its desktop file. Zimbra bug: http://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=65423
This is the documentation for Firefox on how websites should implement it: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web-based_protocol_handlers
