Description Matthias Clasen 2013-08-05 12:23:29 UTC
Caribou currently sends X key events. This needs to be different under Wayland.
Comment 1 Daiki Ueno 2013-08-09 15:58:07 UTC
I've separated X11 related code out from libcaribou (bug 705720). gnome-shell could connect to CaribouKeyboardModel::key-pressed, key-released signals etc. and send key events by itself, if it will continue using libcaribou.
Comment 2 Matthias Clasen 2013-08-18 20:16:47 UTC
David, any update on this ?
Comment 3 David King 2013-08-19 08:38:51 UTC
I am focusing on this today, not much to report so far. Thanks Daiki for separating out the X11 code.
Comment 4 Matthias Clasen 2013-09-19 13:31:21 UTC
moving off the blocker list, wayland is just a tech preview
Comment 5 Jan-Michael Brummer 2017-03-01 09:13:17 UTC
I assume this issue can be closed, as OSK is working on wayland...
Comment 6 Bastien Nocera 2017-03-01 12:22:11 UTC
It only works with the English keymap, even if another one is displayed.
Comment 7 Florian Müllner 2019-02-27 18:15:08 UTC
Fixed properly in 3.30, closing.
