GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 703209
Unable to create new contact on Google
Last modified: 2018-01-24 15:08:50 UTC
When I try to create a new contact, I get the following message: "Unable to find newly created contact". For information, I use a GMail account configured through gnome-online-accounts, on Ubuntu GNOME raring.
Thanks for the report. Are you able to confirm it with a more recent version? (3.10 or 3.12)

Oups, I meant: "I can't reproduce it anymore with contacts 3.8.3".
Ironically, I just reproduced with 3.10.1 on Fedora 20 (using Google as the primary store. The "Unable to find newly created contact" is displayed in a dialog. I see this in the output: ** (gnome-contacts:9455): CRITICAL **: contacts_store_find_contact_with_persona: assertion 'persona != NULL' failed [Thread 0x7fffb37fe700 (LWP 10079) exited] [New Thread 0x7fffb37fe700 (LWP 10080)] (gnome-contacts:9455): eds-WARNING **: edsf-persona-store.vala:605: add_persona_from_details: Cannot invoke method; proxy is for a well-known name without an owner and proxy was constructed with the G_DBUS_PROXY_FLAGS_DO_NOT_AUTO_START flag

I just tested with Google too on contacts 3.8.3, and it worked perfectly...
