Gnome Classic: not possible to add application to top panel

(In reply to comment #0) > This was possible in fallback mode and gnome 2 That does not mean that GNOME classic needs to do the same - its goal is to provide a more familiar approach of GNOME 3 than the default session, not to recreate the exact environment from GNOME 2.
Thinking about it more, classic mode already exposes favorite launchers in the application menu (in addition to the overview), I don't think we should add a third place for the same. That said, I'd be surprised if extensions.gnome.org doesn't host an extension which does what you want - after all, one of the nicer differences between the old fallback mode and classic is the ability to use extensions.
