GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 698993
Allow using media files containing multiple audio tracks / soundtracks
Last modified: 2015-10-20 13:29:12 UTC
To reproduce, import the attached file, which contains two audio tracks and one audio track. Drag it into the timeline, only the first track is available.
Created attachment 242612 [details] 5 seconds, three tracks: video/h264, audio/pcm, audio/pcm
Indeed, would be a nice feature to have if someone is interested in implementing it. Beyond the user interface changes (either some UI to set which audio track to use for a given clip in the media library, or, more simply, just insert all the audio tracks as separate layers in the timeline canvas), there will probably be a need to improve GES to handle this.
