Description Arto Huotari 2013-04-18 15:38:44 UTC
See attached bug filed to Linux wacom tablet project

https://sourceforge.net/p/linuxwacom/bugs/228/

Under Ubuntu 12.04 LTS user can not set stylus threshold with xsetwacom or dconf-editor. Gui tool does not provide possiblity to set this either. Workaround is to create a dconf key with gsettings but because Wacom tablet settings are defined with relocatable key this is not possible for average user. Setting creation of dconf key requires correct path to key and this path is not part of gsettings output.

One possible fix would be to include dconf keys set by gsettings to dconf-editor by default.

Driver bugs notwithstanding, the stylus threshold is set by gnome-settings-daemon.

Keys and paths used for configuring each tablet and device is listed in /usr/libexec/gsd-list-wacom (though it's probably somewhere else on Debian-like systems).

There's no bugs in gnome-settings-daemon that I can see. Feel free to file a bug against dconf's dconf-editor about your feature request.

Might it make sense to file a feature request for gnome-control-center to expose this setting? If gnome-settings-daemon is going to be setting the threshold property, there needs to be a way for the user to adjust it. dconf-editor is OK, but I think ideally we'd like to see this as part of g-c-c.

File a separate bug about it please.
