Description Sajad Ahmadi 2012-11-29 19:23:33 UTC
Previous Gnome Icon Theme and current theme need to be redesign to be more consistent and harmony with shell design.current icon theme and specially folder design and color is outdated and not consistent with new gnome design.

for folder and color I suggest take a look at elementary icon theme(not it's apps icons just folders). It is simple yet beautiful.gnome icon folder's color is boring to users eyes.that's why many users change it to other icon themes like elementary and Faience.

Hi Sajad, thanks for reporting. The beige color suits perfectly to the dull job of browsing the filesystem. We got just as many complaints about the fancy blue folder for Tango as we did for the neutral grey one. This is purely a taste matter. We hope to do our best not to expose the filesystem to you in the future and spare you from being exposed to the dull beige color.
