Regression in 'save as mbox' usability

In Evolution 3.2 I could hit Ctrl-S, type a filename (to which '.mbox' was appended automatically), and hit 'enter' to save it. Now, that no longer works. When I hit 'enter', it simply says 'select a folder below'. And it doesn't *remember* the folder I select, when I save the next file. I don't even understand the navigation of this dialog box. I don't seem to be able to *get* to the bit where I choose a folder, by using the tab key as I normally would. I seem to have to use the down cursor key to select one of the existing 'Recently Used' files, then the left cursor key to move to the list of directories. Keyboard navigation seems entirely broken here, so I have to use the mouse. So... I've hit Ctrl-S, I enter the filename, hit enter, see the 'you have to select a directory because I hate you and refuse to remember the one you chose last time' warning, swear, use the mouse to select a directory, hit 'enter' again.... AND THE F$CKING THING STILL FAILS TO SAVE!. Apparently I have to use the mouse to select the text box into which I typed the filename, because otherwise it ignores what I've typed. Seriously, someone needs to be whipped for this "improvement" in user experience.
The Save As dialog is of course provided by GTK+. Complaints have already been filed. However it's wrong for individual apps to override GTK's policies. Consistency among apps wins the day, however disagreeable the current behavior may be. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 658280 ***
