Description Allan Day 2012-06-26 11:45:52 UTC
Currently, search filters the right hand pane while the list stays static. This feels odd - it is lists that get filtered, not static UI. With the current design, there is no indication of where the results are coming from or how they relate to the rest of the UI.

My suggestion would be to have searching filter the list on the left and leave the right hand pane unfiltered. You could focus the first matching control in the right-hand pane if you want to be extra helpful.

This change should be consistent with the mental model of the rest of the app and make it feel more cohesive.
