Description Uwe Premer 2012-06-24 01:12:09 UTC
Inside the Pan-Server-settings it is not possible to set an IP under "location" (for the server) as the servers adress.
Pan only accepts names souch as "localhost" or "news.server.de" or the PCs hostname is also possible.

When somebody configures his local newsserver like The Hamster to serve to an IP, you only can take the PCs hostname as the server adress in PAN.

It would be much better, when Pan does also accept IPs for the server adresses.
The Linux versions of Pan just work with IPs. Onl the Windows version doesn't.
