Description coldreactive 2012-05-16 13:06:05 UTC
Right as I imported and moved an Xvid AVI File (MPEG4 via AVIDemux on Windows) on the time-line, I "Accidentally" used the mouse-wheel, thinking the mouse-wheel would scroll down on the time-line to see the audio the clip has. Instead, the entire program crashed as previews were rendering.

Hint: Mouse-wheel RIGHT after you move the clip to 0:00:000 on the timeline. May show better results on low-end computers.

Hi,
This is probably obsolete by the fact that video thumbnails are now being cached (see http://jeff.ecchi.ca/blog/2012/04/23/thumbnails-are-back/ ) and the fact that audio waveforms have been stripped out (they will come back, but they're to be done as a GSoC project in gstreamer, so that will probably take a while).

Of course, if you can reproduce this bug with the GES version of Pitivi, feel free to reopen this bug report :)

You can also provide a sample file that is guaranteed to trigger the problem if you want me to test it on that version (with step by step instructions to trigger the crash).
