GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 668060
Won't rip 2nd disc in 2CD set
Last modified: 2012-01-17 09:39:07 UTC
Audio CD Extractor does not seem to be able to rip the secondd cd of a two (or more) CD set. For example, when I insert the first disc of a 2CD compilation album, ALL tracks from the compilation are shown in the track listing. If ALL tracks are selected, then every track on disc one is ripped, then track one is ripped over and over for all remaining tracks of the compilation. When the second disc is inserted, and the CORRECT tracks are selected from thee track listing, the first track is ripped over and over again. All disc 2 tracks can be ripped by selecting EVERY track in the track listing, but then the filenames will be disc one tracks, not disc two. Using Ubuntu 11.10, but this existed in 11.04 and probably earlier. If the album / compilation is to the recognised and tracks listed for both discs, then it should recognise whether disc 1 or 2 is inserted and select the relevant tracks. It should then rip the correct tracks! Alternatively, only the tracks on that particular disc should the listed. I have marked this as a major bug because the program does NOT 'do The Right Thing and What You Mean all of the time'.
