Description Peter Hardman 2011-12-01 15:38:40 UTC
This behaviour is new in recent versions of GTK+. It's incredibly annoying - filechoosesr should either be configurable by the user, open in the user's home directory or open in the last-used directory. Preferably the last.

Definitely not some random list of files. If I wanted to open a recently used file I would use the application's 'recently used list' or navigate to it.

If Gnome developers think they shoild cater for dummies they must make things configurable for the other 99.9% of users
