GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 662277
Banshee crashes when a song ends (System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at System.Text.Encoding.GetBytes) with Mono 2.10.5

Created attachment 199505 [details] Log produced by banshee I have this bug quite frequently, it doesn't happen always but at least once per hour. Since I use banshee to play music while I work this happens multiple times a day.
Comment on attachment 199505 [details] Log produced by banshee I don't know why it says Ubuntu development branch since all packages are up to date. I have to check this...
Smells like a Mono bug, what version do you have (find out by typing "mono --version" in a console).
I checked my system: - Ubuntu 64bit with all updates installed (main servers so there should really no new updates) - Development branch isn't from /etc/lsb-release. I don't know where this comes from... This is my Mono version: Mono JIT compiler version 2.10.5 (Debian 2.10.5-1)
Ok, do you mind opening a bug report here: http://bugzilla.xamarin.com/
Shure, is mono runtime correct?
Yes, it is the latest stable version, this is the reason I'm already asking you to file a Mono bug :)
I meant if runtime is the correct section. Anyway, I filed the bug under this section: http://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1598
(In reply to comment #7) > I meant if runtime is the correct section. Ah sorry! it should be class libraries. I've corrected it. > http://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1598 Given that it's a Mono issue I'm going to close this bug, and we can get updates from Xamarin's bugzilla.
