Description Pedro Villavicencio 2011-10-03 17:53:38 UTC
this report has been filed here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/859042

"If I rename a file in-place (with the F2 key), and the name of the file is long enough to not fit in the window, it isn't scrolled when the cursor is beyond the window edge. So you basically don't see it and you can't see what you're editing.

In the single-panel mode, it seems to happen in "Compact" view only, if you scroll the list horizontally so that the file name gets cropped by the window edge.
In the dual-panel mode (Extra Pane is on), it happens in both panes, in "List" and "Compact" views."

Confirmed on 3.2.1
Comment 2 Alexandre Franke 2016-12-11 12:17:40 UTC
Fixed with the new rename dialog. Also pretty sure we had a duplicate which I marked as fixed earlier.
