Description xpdlg 2011-07-17 19:04:22 UTC
OS : Ubuntu Natty 11.04 (32 and 64 bits)
Meld Version: 1.5.0

Problem
On 2 computers (32 an 64 bits plateforms), 3 ways merge is unavailable because when the new merge window crashes when the 3 ways button is clicked. It occurs on both files and dirs tabs. Mels continues working and the new window can be reopen for a 2 files or a 2 dirs merge.

I have uninstalled 1.5.0 version and reinstall 1.3.2 version and it works properly.

Best regards
Xavier

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Without a stack trace from the crash it's very hard to determine what caused it.
Can you get us a stack trace? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your answer.

How can i get a debug trace?
I can't find any debug package for meld. I can't launch meld with gdb because the file /usr/bin/meld is a python script.

To be clearer, when i write the window crashes, i mean the window closes when i expect that the 3 way checkbox becomes checked. In fact, it works as if i have clicked on the cancel button. Maybe there is no program crash.

This bug is already fixed in Meld 1.5.1 or later. Thanks for your bug report.

Thanks - It works perfectly in Meld 1.5.1. Unfortunately, Ubuntu Natty repository still contains Meld 1.5.0.
