GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 649460
regression: <video> stopped working
Last modified: 2018-09-24 10:17:52 UTC
Since the recent upgrade to blogs, the <video> tag is stripped from blog posts I'm writing. This used to work as can be witnessed for example here: http://blogs.gnome.org/otte/2011/03/30/the-book-was-better/ In fact, I couldn't find a way to get videos to show up without resorting to plugins that embed Flash videos from external sources, even though the media library allows uploading videos. So please do not strip the <video> tag. (Or if that is not possible, at least consider providing a plugin such as http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/degradable-html5-audio-and-video/ that allows using the <video> tag.)
