GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 648314
Can't open my folders after mp3 import by Rhythmbox
Last modified: 2018-05-24 15:54:58 UTC
Hi, on a freshly installed Maverick Meerkat I did an MP3 files import with Rhythmbox. From that moment on, when I go to the menu "places" to open my home, documents and like folders Rhythmbox opens up instead. I deleted all my mp3 files with no result. At the ending I completely removed Rhythmbox with Synaptic, and now I can open my folders again. What's gone wrong? Thanks, Ettore
Copying and pasting a comment from bug 647645: Somebody or something fubar'ed your setup. Rhythmbox doesn't advertise itself as supporting directories. You'll probably want to check under ~/.local/share/applications/ and see if any of those files mention rhythmbox as a handler for directories.
I did as you suggest (ctrl h>local/share/applications and found several files, some of which could not be opened just by double click. Should I open them with gedit? I had a warning message..
