GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 643355
add MicroBlogger to plugins
Last modified: 2018-05-24 15:51:36 UTC
I made a plugin for rhythmbox a few months ago and I think it's now enough stable and useful to be added to default Rhythmbox package. info: sends information about music you are listening to (twitter, identica or getglue) using your own templates home page: http://github.com/aliva/rhythmbox-microblogger

I haven't looked at the code in detail or the UI at all yet, but here are some comments anyway: - needs to be updated to use introspection rather than static python bindings - this means gtk3 as well - the copy of the external oauth2 library has to go, this is what package dependencies are for - the proxy configuration has to go, you need to use the gnome proxy config - the update notification needs to be removed - at some point in the future, plugins won't be able to add toolbar buttons, so you might want to start thinking about a different way to provide access to this feature - I don't really like having to manage account details here.. have you looked at using libsocialweb or similar instead?
