Description Pablo Bueti 2011-02-11 21:06:05 UTC
I found useful the ability to select multiple photos inserted in the timeline and be able to resize their duration proportionally all toghether.

For example if there are 10 photos of 5 seconds each, be able to rezise all from 50 to 20 second making every photo duration 2 second.

I created an animation with around 500 photos, and needed to fit groups of photos to a song duration. Whitout de wanted functionality described above, I has to make calculations of the start point in timeline for every single photo, and place time manually, being a pain to my eyes and a very time consuming task for something can be automated by the program itself.

This feature request makes sense, but it is also a bit of an edge case... would this problem be solved better if there was an option in the preferences to specify the default duration/length of images inserted into the timeline? Or must there really be a menu option such as "Set clips duration..."?

Ideally selecting a group of photos, and resizing it dragging an extreme, photos inside the group should proportionally resize. That thinking on user side. (*1)

Thinking in something easier to implement, set the default duration of inserted images will solve the problem for most cases. (*2)

Also a property box for group or individual photo setting it's duration can be another nice addition. (*3)

So with option 2 the main problem is almost solved, 1 and 3 can be nice additions for user feeling, control and simplicity.
