GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 636297
resume from suspend with "lock screen" feature result in a black screen
Last modified: 2011-02-01 01:11:47 UTC
This is a cross post from gentoo: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=347505 The resume from suspend mode work fine then the "lock screen" checkbox is not enabled, however the screen reminds black with it enabled. As a workaround and PoC it's possible login blindly and enter the following command: xgamma -display :0.0 -gamma 1 See the url above for more details and let me know if you need any help with reproducing it. Thanks
I try and try but I can't reproduce. in FC14
(In reply to comment #1) > I try and try but I can't reproduce. in FC14 The issue does show up on my system (I’m one of the original reporters on Gentoo), so I can help track and nail it down, with some guidance.
I dont know but maybe between 2.30 and 2.32 this problem is fixes....
The reproducing is not straightforward. I've experienced it once in 4 days and can't find what should be the sequence. Here is what captured in the log (looks not related): Dec 4 22:52:10 ant gnome-screensaver-dialog: gkr-pam: unlocked login keyring Dec 4 22:52:12 ant kernel: [drm] Num pipes: 1 Dec 4 22:52:17 ant gnome-keyring-daemon[2962]: dbus failure unregistering from session: Connection is closed Dec 4 22:52:17 ant polkitd(authority=local): Unregistered Authentication Agent for session /org/freedesktop/ConsoleKit/Session2 (sy stem bus name :1.13, object path /org/gnome/PolicyKit1/AuthenticationAgent, locale en_US.utf8) (disconnected from bus) Dec 4 22:52:17 ant gnome-keyring-daemon[2962]: dbus failure unregistering from session: Connection is closed I've recompiled the package with debug recently and will post an update if I'll get more details.
Guys, we can't reproduce the bug any longer. I'm closing it for now.
