GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 63415
window manager's "close window" command and cancel button will close window
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
1. Start gnumeric. 2. Enter some data in some cell. 3. Use the window manager's "close window" command. 4. Click the cancel button. The window disappears. It should remain visible since the user canceled the close operation. Any changes the user made appear to be lost. Note that if you change step 3 to "Do File Menu->Close", then this bug does not occur. Also if you Do "File menu->Exit", the bug does not occur. The bug does occur if you close the window through the window manager. When I use KDE, all of my X-windows applications have a button in the upper right corner with a picture of a X. I click that button in step 3. I believe that some window managers display this button with a different icon. Also, I think that other window managers require a double click to close a window. So reproducing this might not be exactly the same for you. Note that this bug also occurs in gnumeric 0.72, but *not* in 0.71
My fault. Typo accidentally deleted a '!'. Patch is in CVS and will be in the next (0.75) release.
