evince 2.30.3
Using poppler/cairo (0.12.4)

in inkscape i made a line and set the stroke to be a gradient. i then used inkscape to convert the svg to a pdf.

in evince instead of drawing a line with a gradient, it just draws the gradient filling a large area. the pdf renders fine in ocular and acroread.
