Description Guillaume Desmottes 2010-04-09 08:20:33 UTC
Now that we are using Account properties to set the alias and avatar we could allow user to change details of offline accounts.
Comment 1 Guillaume Desmottes 2010-04-09 11:06:19 UTC
This is blocked by Protocol objects as Empathy needs to be able to get avatar info (such as max size, etc) for offline accounts.

This requiers Protocol which just landed in Telepahty. Re-schedule for 3.0.
Comment 3 Guillaume Desmottes 2011-01-24 12:32:07 UTC
We should first use TpProtocol to get avatarrequierements: bug #640408
Comment 4 Guillaume Desmottes 2011-08-04 13:58:09 UTC
Let's wait for Danielle's accounts dialog refactoring before doing that. (bug #652669)
Comment 5 Guillaume Desmottes 2012-01-09 13:04:15 UTC
Do we really want that with the new design? We won't be able to change everything when being offline (like the contact info) so does it make sense to display only a subset of the fields?
Comment 6 Danielle Madeley 2012-01-09 22:17:06 UTC
I think it's still worth having. That is the stuff at the top anyway. If anything it makes more sense in the new design.

How do you plan to approach the circumstance where you change your avatar in two clients and the avatar you set offline does not match the avatar the service thinks it has set for you?
