Description Josselin Mouette 2010-02-27 23:53:47 UTC
One of our users (Leandro Lucarella) reported the following bug: http://bugs.debian.org/567056

Basically he has serious speed issues with brasero using the libburn backend. So far, experiments have shown this is not a problem if image generation (it is generated at ~12X speed), and using cdrskin he could burn the DVD at full 8X speed.

Therefore it must be some bottleneck in the way brasero communicates with the backend, but we’re running out of ideas. Needless to say that I can’t reproduce the bug on my own system.

Hi thanks for the report.
Could it be that your user was using cdrtools? or even cdrkit? I fixed the same bug in both plugins that led brasero to report wrong speeds.
Comment 2 Josselin Mouette 2010-06-06 07:28:16 UTC
No, the version this was reported against had the cdrkit/cdrtools plugins entirely disabled so this is not possible.
