Description Christophe Fergeau 2010-02-11 11:05:08 UTC
Magnatune no longer accepts credit card payment from 3rd party apps, but they are ok with gift cards. It would be nice if rhythmbox was able to handle those :)

11:21 < nhn> teuf: but if you add the option to purchase stuff using gift
cards, you get the same %10 comission as Amarok
11:21 < nhn> that deal is open to anyone

Info from an email from Nikolaj, putting it here so I don't forget it.

> - Are gift cards still accepted over the API? Is the URL still
> https://magnatune.com/buy/buy_dl_cc_xml ?

Yes. Since this is the only way Amarok can do embedded purchases as
well, we will likely start promoting the gift card feature a bit more
on the Magnatune site. For now, you can add a link to
http://magnatune.com/buy/gc_buy
There is no referral fee on purchasing the gift card itself, instead
you get that when people use the gift card through the
https://magnatune.com/buy/buy_dl_cc_xml API.
