Description Paul Smith 2010-01-14 22:31:26 UTC
I'm using Ubuntu 9.10, all updates applied, so Gnome 2.28.x

I start banshee, and an icon for banshee appears in the gnome-panel notification area.

Then if gnome-panel dies (I'm having a problem where it's crashing, but killing it works as well), it will automatically be restarted and all my icons come back into the notification area on the new panel, EXCEPT banshee.

This means I can't control it via the notification. It also means I no longer get notifications when songs change.

And, worst of all, if I had clicked on the notification icon to hide the banshee window, rather than iconfiying it, after the panel restarts I can no longer control banshee in any way except to kill it and restart it, since I can't get it to un-hide. At least, I can't figure out any way to manage it.
