GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 603720
gnumeric doesn't remember it was maximized when closing
Last modified: 2009-12-05 21:44:02 UTC
When I launch gnumeric and I maximize it, if I close it and reopen it, I get its window unmaximized again. I don't know why it doesn't remember it :-( gnumeric-1.8.4 metacity-2.26.0 Thanks
If you want to have gnumeric's window always start of large, you could just change the corresponding preference (Window->default vertical/horizontal size). Note that this does not fix the absolute window size but the percentage of teh screen size. Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 121732 ***
Andreas: "maximize" is actually different here. And in any case, the default-size preferences would get overridden by the size in the file. -->Reopening and taking.
Morten: Pacho didn't say anything about opening a file, so I thin kwe can reasonably assume that he is talking about the default size the first window comes up when you launch gnumeric. (I do realize that "maximize" is slightly differnet from remembering the last window size.)
Seems that I misexplained it, sorry (english is not my mother tongue :-( ), I was referring that I want to get gnumeric windows (even opening it without any file or opening a file) opened as a maximized window, but, every time I launch gnumeric, I need to click on "maximize" window manager button
I that case, this really is bug 121732 and I'm just suitably confused. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 121732 ***
