This is a downstream bug report:

Simply try to open attached pdf file with acroread and evince and you will see that evince fails to show transparency and gradients while acroread shows it fine

Tested with poppler-0.10 and 0.12

Confirmed on Evince 2.29.1 (git master), Poppler 0.12.0 (git master).

It works perfectly for me. This was fixed in poppler 0.12, but it requires cairo >= 1.9.4
