Time-Shift-Download: Continue download streaming after playback pause
Last modified: 2018-05-24 10:35:41 UTC
Hi I would like to have that the download of a stream after an user's playback pause continues with reduced download speed. This should avoid that the streaming server cancels the streaming session and so make it possible to resume the paused playback of a stream after a longer time. Regards, Nameless
Are we talking about a live stream, or a time-shifted stream? If the whole stream is available, then that's already implemented for QuickTime and FLV in 2.29.x
I tought on a time-shifted mms stream. A mms stream like this for example: mms://ondemand.msmedia.zdf.newmedia.nacamar.net/zdf/data/msmedia/3sat/09/11/091106_sendung_nano_vh.wmv
We currently only do download buffering for QuickTime and FLV streams. There's a couple of problems here: - download buffering would remove the ability to seek outside what's buffered - GTK+ doesn't support having multiple download buffer sections
I'm sure you can solve these problems ;-) Regards, Nameless
