Description Jonathon Jongsma 2009-10-19 17:20:35 UTC
I tried an adium theme that had a file "Contents/info.plist" instead of "Contents/Info.plist" (capitalized). Because of this, it did not show up in the theme selector combobox. After renaming the file to be capitalized, it appeared in the theme selector. It would be nice if empathy would use case-insensitive filename lookups to avoid this issue.

What the Adium spec says about that? AFAIK there is not case unsensitive lookup function and I don't really want to try each possibility for each file...
Comment 2 Xavier Claessens 2009-10-20 10:14:30 UTC
The adium spec has all files with first letter as capital. Linux has case-sensitive file systems, unlike windows (and mac?).

IMO this bug is WONTFIX.
Comment 3 Jonathon Jongsma 2009-10-20 19:15:33 UTC
yeah, but it still sucks that an entire theme won't work simply because a filename is missing a capital letter. It would be fairly simple to just list the directory and then loop through the list of files and do a case-insensitive filename comparison for the file you're looking for. This is certainly not a performance critical section, so the loss of effiency here wouldn't be a big deal. But if you don't want to make that change, I guess I don't really care.

I think Jonner's solution make sense.
