Description Benjamin 2009-03-04 00:43:46 UTC
G'day,

I was wondering if you had any thoughts about whether the status of services would eventually be incorporated into system monitor, possibly with the ability to start/stop them etc. I am thinking in-particular from an Ubuntu perspective about integration with upstart, or with related service management software in other distributions.

Benjamin.

In Ubuntu it would be upstart, in Fedora it would by systemd, on other systems this would be something else, so this is something libgtop, the abstraction layer for system information should handle, and it also might require root permissions, which is another reason for this to go into libgtop. Reassigning to libgtop.
