Description kxra 2009-01-12 19:06:03 UTC
Empathy should show how long a contact has been idle.
Comment 1 Guillaume Desmottes 2009-06-10 13:16:19 UTC
That's probably something we could put in the contact tooltip.
Comment 2 Praveen Thirukonda 2009-06-27 14:15:58 UTC
implementing it directly in the main UI also wont be bad as it wont take much space as we already would have idle in the status msg
it could be like idle for xx mins

pidgin does it this way. and it doesnt look ugly and if it is done in tooltip i am guessing many users will miss it.

and overall since many of my friends (and i am guessing many ppl in general) are idle for most of the day i think this would be a good addition.
Comment 3 Omer Akram 2010-03-22 11:30:34 UTC
This is indeed a great feature to have.

Comment 5 Michael Monreal 2010-04-02 12:59:55 UTC
From the dupe: I requested seeing the contact's login time as well as the idle time.
Comment 6 kxra 2012-01-09 21:04:03 UTC
This just needs a UI, right? Support for reding this info is in telepathy?
Comment 7 Guillaume Desmottes 2012-01-11 08:29:39 UTC
No, we don't have any API in Telepathy for that yet.
