GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 566729
Error messages in different locale.
Last modified: 2009-06-25 13:38:35 UTC
From : http://johnnyjacob.wordpress.com/2008/12/15/evolution-mapi-debut-tarball-release-rpm-repos-are-online/#comments " For some reason, the error message returns in French "
Which error messages are displayed in different locale ? (sounds like PR_LOCALE_ID is set/reset)
I have tested different sending options. In plain text, sending of email works perfectly. Whenever "Format messages in HTML" is set. The email won't send and returns a error, and that return email is in French. The other thing also in French is in the left hand pane with the folders it displays: "Boite aux lettres - Keith Williams" then proceeding with all folders in English. Another thing noted is that changes on the preferences can't be made on the fly. It locks up the mail client, after the restart the settings are in place though. Next step will be to test Calender options.
This bug vanished in the January 20th update of openchange I received from http://mbarnes.fedorapeople.org/mapi/RPMS/i386/ I had to remove the old "french" mailbox, as the updated packages and re-creating my account created the account this time in english as "Inbox". I had updated Samba4, openchange, evolution, and evolution-mapi. The bug no longer seems present in current builds.
k. I am closing this bug as OBSOLETE then.
