GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 560714
HBH-PV700 can't pair
Last modified: 2010-03-05 17:56:14 UTC
Similar to : http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=560315 1)$ sudo hcitool cc <btaddress> type of headset HBH-PV700. 2)$ hcitool inq 00:12:EE:XX:XX:XX clock offset: 0x0cf7 class: 0x200404 3)default pin 0000
I need the output of "hcitool scan", not "hcitool cc something".
$ hcitool scan Scanning ... 00:12:EE:XX:XX:XX HBH-PV700
This headset is already detected as a headset, and should thus have had '0000' hard-coded as the PIN code. Are you sure that it failed to pair? Was it showing up as a headset in UI?
Hey Jonathan, any chance you can answer the questions in comment #3?
Sorry Tobias, but I don't own this hardware. I just upstreamed a report from the Ubuntu bug[1] where tons of bluetooth were failing to pair because of the fixed pin thing. [1]https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez-gnome/+bug/284994/
