Last modified: 2010-05-04 11:01:15 UTC
Please describe the problem: When trying to view source code of a page by pressing Ctrl+U or through menu, you'll get the same page in incorrect encoding or somewhat otherwise distorted instead of the source. See the screenshot. Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
Created attachment 119339 [details] Screenshot of lonux.org.ru website, though the same can be seen with different pages. Screenshot of lonux.org.ru website, though the same can be seen with different pages.
Works for me. Do you have any extensions (notably the view-source extension) enabled? Does the garbled text open in a new window or in the same one? (Note the correct URL seems to be linux.org.ru)
No, no 'view-source-extension' Only the following extensions: AdBlocker Creative Commons license viewer LiveHTTP headers Favicon Choose style The text opens in new window. Not always it's garbled, for example, for this page it simply opens a copy of the page in new window (possibly because no Cyrillic characters on thios page).
Is gedit installed?
Yes... But it seems this bug is related to this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/272785 I also have the same problem.

Cannot really reproduce this with Epiphany 2.30.x, even doing what the launchpad thing suggests. Reopen if you can still reproduce please.
